Read eveRYTHING carefully

This section is intended to cover the laws of handling and operating your firearms. Always follow the laws of firearm safety when operating, cleaning and maintaining your firearm.

Law #1

Treat every weapon as if it were loaded, even if you “know” it’s not. This rule prevents injury, damage or death while you are handling or transferring possession of a Firearm.

Law #2

When you pick up a Firearm, examine it and make sure it is unloaded. When you receive a weapon, never assume it is safe; Drop the magazine & pull the slide/charging handle and check the chamber to make sure it isn't loaded.

Law #3

Keep your trigger finger straight and off the trigger. This rule keeps you from firing a weapon by mistake and reinforces Law #1.

Law #4

Know your target and what is beyond it. Verify the direction and location a round will travel if you achieve target penetration or you miss.

Law #5

Never point a weapon at anything you don't intend to destroy. This rule enforces awareness of the direction the muzzle is pointing and positive identification of targets.

Law #6

Keep your weapon on safe until you intend to fire. This rule enforces the use of safety features and reinforces positive identification of your target.

Law #7

Always wear hearing and eye protection when training and at the range.

Of course in a SHTF moment, when you are protecting your home and family you will more than likely not have the time to throw on your hearing protection and eye protection but when training and during range days it is imperative to preserve your hearing and vision.

It is also highly recommended to wear eye protection and gloves when building, cleaning and maintaining your firearm. Lead and gunpowder are toxic materials and can be leeched into the skin and if debris from those materials gets in your eye its gonna be a bad time.
